I found yoga at a time in my early twenties when I had come to experience my body as a weight that I simply carried around. I had never enjoyed sport or exercise of any kind so found the idea of connecting my mind and body daunting and strange. Through meditation and then asana I started to cultivate a connection between my unreliable body and my messy mind. After years of building on this connection to myself I found I wanted to take my study deeper and trained for my 200hr Teacher Training with Jodie Merrick, founder of Fringe Yoga and the Fringe Method which focuses it's themes on the elements Earth, Water, Fire and Air.
Since the age of 13 I have experienced my own women's health issues and have developed a passion and interest for the scientific and holistic changes we can make to improve those issues. When Tiffany Cruickshank created a yoga training specific for Women's Health I knew this was the perfect marriage of my two passions. After completing this training I was inspired to learn more about Traditional Chinese Medicine, Somatics and yin yoga and am currently studying for my 50hr Embodied Yin training with Satu Tuomela. This training has been profound and deepened my experience of the yoga practice.
My classes are a mixture of flow, yin, breath work and women's health specific themes, as it is my intention to guide you to a deeper connection with your mind and body as well as creating time and space for deep rest and learning on your personal experience of being a woman.
